- 3 lbs (1.4 kg) beef brisket
- 1 cup (240 ml) beef broth
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) soy sauce
- 1/4 cup (60 g) brown sugar
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons (10 g) smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon (5 g) black pepper
- 1 teaspoon (5 g) salt
- 1/2 teaspoon (2 g) cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Prepare the brisket by trimming excess fat and seasoning with salt, pepper, and cayenne.
- In a slow cooker, combine beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, minced garlic, and sliced onion.
- Place the brisket in the slow cooker, covering it with the sauce mixture.
- Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-6 hours, until tender.
- Remove the brisket, slice, and serve with the sauce from the slow cooker.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can sear the brisket in a skillet before slow cooking.
- Leftover brisket can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
